The Use of Aptitude Tests for Older Candidates - Week 34

The value of aptitude tests for older candidates is the topic of this week’s HRMForce update. Although it is sometimes thought that these tests become less relevant as people get older, we emphasize their enduring predictive value. As a person’s career progresses and the complexity and responsibility of roles increase, it becomes increasingly crucial to look not only at potential and aptitude but also at past performance and behavior. However, when there are significant changes in career direction, assessing abilities remains an indispensable step.
