The use of simulation exercises is a common method in assessments for observing candidate behavior. These exercises, ranging from general situations to customized simulations specifically tailored to an organization and position, are now also available digitally.
Simulation exercises were traditionally pen-and-paper tasks, but today’s assessments are increasingly conducted online via platforms such as Skype and Zoom. Digital simulations offer organizations greater flexibility without requiring them to be shared directly with the candidate, thereby preserving their predictive value.
In the video above, we explain how to set up these exercises and assign them to candidates in the hrmforce system. The process is simple and involves adding specific instructions for both the actor and the candidate. There are many simulations available, ranging from business consulting to teamwork scenarios, and you can even add your own simulations.
The simulations are sent to the candidate, who then needs a PIN to access the simulation. This PIN is provided during the assessment and ensures that the simulation is only accessible to the candidate for a limited period, thereby reducing the risk of unauthorized sharing.
