In this week’s HRMForce update, we’ll explore the topic of organizational culture. How can we effectively assess an organization’s culture? This is a question we encounter frequently, and in this video, we’d like to share four key methods with you.
- The Organizational Culture Scan: Based on Hofstede’s theories and further developed from an HRM perspective. This tool compares the organization’s ideal and current cultures and helps identify interventions that will guide the organization toward the desired cultural level.
- Pulse Survey Tool: This tool, often used for employee satisfaction, can be customized to ask specific questions about organizational culture. With a database of thousands of questions, this tool can be used regularly to measure organizational culture.
- Value Drives Questionnaire: This tool is based on Profile Dynamics theory and explores what an individual personally values in an organization. It also measures the values upheld within the organization and how people believe the organization should change.
- Team Analysis: Although this tool isn’t specifically about organizational culture, it does provide insight into the culture within teams. The combined team overviews allow you to form a general picture of the organizational culture.
