Monitors compliance with municipal rules in public spaces, addresses offenders and issues official reports where necessary.

Advises the executive or board directly on strategy, governance considerations and the political or societal context of decisions.

Represents the organisation's legal interests, advises the board on contracts, disputes and compliance and directs external law firms.

Represents clients in court cases and negotiations, drafts submissions and opinions and, as a sworn lawyer, is personally accountable for the quality of legal representation.

Advises management and departments on legal risk and regulation, translates legislation into workable procedures and guides their implementation.

Analyses legal issues, independently drafts contracts and opinions and represents the organisation in legal proceedings and negotiations.

Handles standard contracts, correspondence and case files under supervision, flags deviations and ensures deadlines and legal formalities are met.

Prepares deeds, articles of association and transfer deeds under a notary's responsibility, checks land registry data and monitors signing deadlines.

Handles objections from citizens and businesses against government decisions, tests them against the General Administrative Law Act and prepares decisions on the objection.

Supports lawyers or in-house counsel with case research, litigation preparation and management of legal documentation without acting as a lawyer themselves.

Develops policy and regulation in a specific domain, advises decision makers on feasibility and impact and guides its translation into implementation.

Gathers information, conducts research and drafts policy memos in preparation of policy, under direction of a policy advisor or manager.

Leads policy projects from setup to delivery, manages a project team and monitors planning, budget and alignment with governance objectives.

Advises the organisation on GDPR and related regulation, assesses processing activities and data breaches and manages engagement with the data protection authority.

Advises government organisations on setting up and running European tenders and ensures the procurement process is legally sound and efficient.

Manages contracts with government suppliers, monitors compliance with procurement rules and performance agreements and handles amendments and disputes.

Checks whether businesses and institutions comply with legislation, carries out inspections and reports findings with any sanctions or remediation deadlines.

Leads complex or politically sensitive policy files, advises decision makers directly and coaches policy advisors on the quality of their advice.

Investigates offences with statutory investigative powers, issues official reports on behalf of the public prosecutor and works closely with the police.

Handles cases and files under a supervising patron lawyer, prepares court submissions and completes the mandatory training to become a full lawyer.
