Building Services Installer

Installs mechanical building systems such as pipework, ventilation and climate systems in new build and renovation, coordinating with other installation disciplines on site.

The mechanical installer often coordinates with electricians and plumbers on the same site, delivering the part that makes a building function once the shell is done. The distinction from a plumber lies in the broader range of systems, from ventilation to climate installations. Selection often fails on candidates who mount components well but lack the systems thinking of how pipework, ducting and controls fit together.
