Tile Setter

Also known as: Floor and wall tiler

Installs floor and wall tiling, determines the laying pattern and applies adhesive and grout within tight measurement tolerances.

The tile setter often finishes wet areas last, right before handover, so mistakes are immediately visible and costly. The distinction from a general finishing tradesperson lies in mastering watertight junctions around pipework and drains. In practice selection stalls on references that show speed but say nothing about leaks discovered later.
