Heat Pump Installer

Also known as: Heat pump technician

Installs and maintains heat pump systems and refrigerant circuits and tunes control systems to the home's energy use.

The heat pump installer works on the fast-growing shift to sustainable heating, often in existing homes not originally suited to it. The distinction from a heating installer lies in refrigerant knowledge and F-gas certification requirements. In practice selection fails on a missing valid F-gas certificate, a hard legal requirement that is often checked too late.
