Bookkeeper

Runs the complete bookkeeping for one or more entities, prepares vat returns and period closings and delivers the basis for the annual accounts.
The bookkeeper works independently and closes periods, including reconciliations, provisions and tax returns. Unlike the finance administration clerk, this role is accountable for the accuracy of the whole rather than for individual entries. Selection stalls on experience with a specific package as the main criterion, while the difference in practice is made by tracing a reconciliation gap back to its source without supervision.
