Security Engineer

Builds and manages technical security controls such as access management, monitoring and hardening and tests the resilience of systems.
The security engineer actually places security controls in the environment and keeps them working, from identity management to logging and detection. Unlike the security officer, this is a build and operate role, and unlike the security analyst the emphasis is on implementation rather than on investigating alerts. Selection targets security tooling, while the bottleneck is alignment: a control that operations and development teams cannot or will not support gets switched off or bypassed within weeks.
