Construction Electrician

Also known as: Electrical installer

Installs electrical wiring and distribution boards in buildings, connects equipment and tests installations for safety.

The construction electrician works on site alongside other installation disciplines and delivers work that is only really tested at handover. The distinction from a solar installer lies in the broader scope, from meter cupboard to lighting and data provisions. In practice selection fails on a missing current safety certification, though it is legally required to work independently.
