Business Continuity Manager

Draws up failover and continuity plans for critical it services, tests those plans periodically and coordinates the organisation during major disruptions or outages.
The business continuity manager ensures the organisation knows what to do when a critical system fails for an extended period, from failover facilities to a rehearsed crisis team. Unlike a security officer who assesses attack risks, they focus on continuity for any kind of major disruption, technical or not. Selection often looks at plan documentation, while actually rehearsing a failover scenario with the departments involved is what shows in practice whether the plan works.
