Builds and installs timber structures, frames and formwork on site according to drawings and measurements.
The carpenter works in the shell or finishing phase, often alongside other trades on the same site. Unlike a furniture maker, the work happens on location under changing weather and adjoining disciplines. Selection often fails on the difference between someone who can execute a drawing accurately and independently and someone who only works under supervision.
