Certified Nursing Assistant

Provides personal care and basic nursing procedures to clients in an institution or at home, according to a care plan and within the scope of practice.
The certified nursing assistant performs reserved procedures after training and a formal declaration of competence, and works under the responsibility of a nurse or physician. Unlike a home helper, she independently performs nursing tasks such as wound care and medication administration. Selection at this level often stops at the diploma and competence statements, while the gap between formal authorisation and actual hands on competence is rarely tested separately.
