Process Operator

Monitors and controls a continuous production process from a control room or panel, and intervenes on deviating process parameters.

The process operator watches over a complete process, often from a control room, and corrects course as soon as values deviate. Unlike a machine operator, who runs one machine, this role covers the whole of a production process with multiple interdependent steps. Selection often tests process knowledge, while the ability to escalate correctly within minutes on a deviating process parameter is rarely tested.
