Quality Inspector

Checks products and materials for dimensions and quality against specification, and approves or rejects based on measurement results.

The quality inspector measures and assesses products against a set standard and decides whether a batch can proceed. Unlike the production operative, who makes, this role inspects independently of the production process. Selection often tests measuring instrument knowledge, while the ability to actually reject a batch when in doubt despite production pressure is rarely tested.
