Mechatronics Technician

Maintains and repairs automated systems where mechanical, electronic and control engineering come together.

The mechatronics technician works on systems where mechanical, electrical and control engineering elements interact. Unlike a mechanical or electrical fitter, who focuses on a single discipline, this role must understand faults in combination. Selection often tests knowledge of separate disciplines, while the ability to understand mechanical, electrical and control faults in combination is rarely tested.
