Advises schools and training providers on instructional design based on learning theory and translates this into workable lesson formats for teaching teams.
The instructional designer underpins educational choices with learning theory and research and advises teaching teams on lesson and curriculum design. Unlike a teacher, this role has no own class and works school-wide or institution-wide. Selection often tests theoretical knowledge of learning theories, while the ability to translate that knowledge into a workable lesson design for an actual teaching team is often missed.
