Frontend Developer

Builds the user facing side of web applications, connects it to services and makes sure screens work, load fast and stay accessible.

The frontend developer sits between design and backend and translates visual and functional requirements into working screens in the browser. Unlike the backend developer, this role works on behaviour, rendering and interaction rather than on data processing. Selection tends to focus on framework experience, while in practice accessibility, alignment with designers and judging user behaviour separate a screen that works from a screen that is actually used.
