Inventory Controller
Also known as: Stock controller
Monitors stock levels and stock accuracy, analyses discrepancies and directs reordering and cycle counts to limit gaps between the system and the warehouse.
The inventory controller works with warehouse system data and must be able to explain discrepancies between system and physical stock. The distinction from a logistics employee lies in the analytical, numerical focus rather than physical execution. Selection often fails on candidates who operate the system well but do not probe enough for the cause of structural stock discrepancies.
