Warehouse Employee

Also known as: Warehouse associate

Carries out receiving, storage, packing and shipment of goods in the distribution centre according to fixed work processes.

The warehouse employee often works in shifts with peak moments around deliveries and dispatch times. The distinction from an order picker lies in the broader role that also covers storage and packing. Selection often fails on candidates who master the warehouse system in theory but stall in practice on unusual scan alerts.
