Fleet Manager

Manages the organisation's vehicle fleet, schedules maintenance and inspections, and monitors vehicle cost and availability.
The fleet manager works between drivers, leasing companies and workshops and must keep vehicles available without burdening drivers. The distinction from a transport planner lies in the focus on the vehicles themselves, from maintenance to lease contracts, rather than route scheduling. Selection often fails on candidates who are administratively strong but lack enough vehicle technical knowledge to properly judge maintenance advice.
