Dutch as a Second Language Teacher
Also known as: NT2 Teacher · Dutch Language Teacher for Migrants
Teaches Dutch to non-native adult speakers, often as part of civic integration, and builds lessons around language level and background.
The Dutch as a Second Language teacher teaches Dutch to adults with another native language, often in a group that varies widely in education level and background. Unlike a regular language teacher at school, the emphasis lies on practical language skills for work and daily life. Selection often tests linguistic knowledge, while the ability to teach a group with widely varying education level and language background at once is often missed.
