Student Care Coordinator

Coordinates support for pupils with more complex care needs within secondary education and liaises with external care providers.
The student care coordinator builds and maintains the school's care structure and is the point of contact for mentors, parents and external care providers. Unlike the SENCO in primary education, cases are often more complex and require cooperation with youth care services. Selection often tests knowledge of care structures, while the ability to move between school, parents and external care without a case stalling is rarely assessed.
