Remedial Teacher

Supports individual pupils with learning difficulties outside the classroom, draws up intervention plans and coordinates them with teacher and parents.
The remedial teacher works outside the classroom with pupils who are stuck on specific learning goals and draws up a targeted intervention plan. Unlike the class teacher, the focus lies on diagnosis and individual intervention rather than whole-class teaching. Selection often tests knowledge of learning disorders, while the ability to align an intervention plan with both the class teacher and parents is rarely assessed.
