Email Marketing Specialist

Develops and sends email campaigns and newsletters, segments the database, tests variants and optimises on opens, clicks and conversion.
The email marketer works in the organisation's own channel and combines copy, segmentation and measurement in a short cycle. Unlike the marketing automation specialist, this is less about system setup and more about message, timing and database quality. Selection often misses the real criterion, choosing candidates on tooling and creative mailings while the role fails on testing discipline and care around consent and unsubscribes.
