Electrical Engineer

Also known as: Electrical Design Engineer · EE Engineer

Designs electrical installations and systems, substantiates choices with calculations and checks them against standards and regulations.

The electrical engineer designs electrical systems and ensures they meet standards and regulations. Unlike an electrical technician, who installs and maintains, the emphasis here lies on design and upfront substantiation. Selection often tests knowledge of standards and diagrams, while the ability to make an electrical design economically sound is rarely tested.
