Technician

Installs, maintains and repairs technical equipment and machinery, and resolves simple to moderate faults independently.

The technician performs broadly deployable technical work, from installation to maintenance and repair, often across varied assignments in one day. Unlike a specialised mechanic, this role works generalist across both mechanical and electrical work. Selection often tests technical knowledge, while the ability to independently prioritise between multiple fault reports in one day is rarely tested.
