Production Group Leader

Also known as: Production Team Leader · Production Supervisor

Directs a group of production employees on daily output and quality, allocates staff across workstations, and coaches new employees on the line.

The production group leader works within a day shift or department and is the first line manager for the operators. Unlike a shift leader, responsibility usually stays within one department or cell group and the handover between shifts weighs less heavily. Selection often promotes the fastest operator, leaving instruction and discussing quality deviations structurally underdeveloped.
