Welder

Welds metal parts and structures together according to drawing and welding qualification, and checks the quality of own welds.

The welder joins metal parts into a structure, with a result that directly determines the strength and safety of the finished product. Unlike a sheet metal worker, who mainly forms and bends, the core of this work lies in the welding process itself. Selection often looks at welding qualifications, while the ability to deliver a consistent weld under varying conditions such as height or confined space is rarely tested separately.
