Production Team Leader

Manages a production shift on pace, quality and safety, assigns tasks and is the first point of contact for faults or deviations.

The production team leader manages a shift of operators and production staff directly on the shop floor. Unlike a production manager at tactical level, this role stays close to daily execution and the people doing the work. Selection often tests production knowledge, while the ability to hold shift colleagues to pace and quality without souring the atmosphere is rarely tested.
