Robotics Technician

Installs, programs and maintains industrial robots, and resolves faults that are mechanical or control related in nature.

The robotics technician keeps automated robot systems running in a production environment, from programming to mechanical maintenance. Unlike a mechatronics technician, who is more broadly deployable, the focus here is specifically on robot systems and their control. Selection often tests programming knowledge of the robot, while the ability to distinguish a mechanical deviation from a control fault is rarely tested.
